My name is Elena. I am from Pontevedra, although I have been living in Madrid for years.

I worked for four years at Meliá managing corporate accounts and international events. Then in event coordination, then in marketing and sales at Zankyou. Always on the move, always learning, always with the feeling that there was something more I wanted to do.

When my two children arrived, something changed. I paused, breathed, and asked myself what I really wanted.

The answer had always been there: fashion.

One day, on a trip, I told my husband what had been on my mind for a while. That I was still young. That I had a head full of ideas. That I wanted to create something real, something of my own, something that existed beyond a screen or a spreadsheet. That I wanted to make a clothing brand.

He didn't hesitate.

So in January 2024, with two small children and a lot of enthusiasm, Silk & Chips was born. Just the two of us, from Madrid. Designing each piece with care, choosing the fabrics, working directly with the factories — first in Vietnam, now in Portugal — to reach you without intermediaries and without the prices that entails.

Silk — the timeless, what endures.
